ACCEL Schools is pleased to announce the opening of Eastern Panhandle Preparatory Academy & Virtual Preparatory Academy of West Virginia, in Fall 2022!The primary responsibilities of the School Marketing Manager are to help their assigned schools: 1) Oversee the execution of the school marketing plan to assist the school principal in meeting their enrollment goals, 2) Manage campaigns and initiatives in a hands-on manner to ensure we are raising awareness about the school in the local community and generating qualified inquiries for enrollment at the school, 3) Support the school in converting inquiries into new student enrollments, and 4) Maintain up-to-date and accurate reporting of the enrollment pipeline.The School Marketing Manager is a full-time position supporting the WV Online division and two brick and mortar schools located in Nitro and Kearneysville, WV. The position requires travel throughout the state on a regular basis to attend meetings, make presentations, and coordinate events with school and Marketing personnel, civic groups, religious organizations, parents, students, and other audiences identified through market research. Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills are required.The School Marketing Manager shall be proficient in all aspects of the student enrollment process, school program, and the organization’s mission and vision. The School Marketing Manager will engage in extensive, ground level marketing activities including major lead generation through canvassing and networking. A strong work ethic, ability to work independently, skills in effective project management, and a background in sales/customer service is required (previous recruiting experience preferred). The School Marketing Manager must be able to travel, have their own reliable transportation, and be able to work a flexible schedule (some evening and weekend working shifts may be required). Other job duties may be required as needed.The candidate must pass federal, state, and local background checks, as required by state.Additional Job duties and requirements include:Marketing & Project ManagementExecute school marketing plan, working with school personnel, marketing team, and vendors to meet deadlines and enrollment goals for each assigned schoolEffectively lead and coordinate implementation of defined local recruitment and enrollment initiatives such as canvassing and eventsAssist school with meeting weekly lead/enrollment targets set by the pacing guideMaintain inventory of promotional materials/collateral according to canvassing/event/partnership needsConscientiously manage each school’s marketing budgetProactively identify and develop opportunities to promote enrollmentFacilitate training for key school personnel on marketing tools and strategiesUtilize social media outlets to raise awareness and increase interest in individual schoolsProduce follow-up reportsEvent CoordinationCoordinate all aspects of enrollment events for school(s) including theme, program of activities, giveaways, etc.Work with school to ensure all layout, set-up, break-down, staffing, decor, and IT are setEnsure giveaways and materials are delivered to the school prior to eventArrive early and stay late at events to oversee and assist with event set-up and break-downEnsure event signage is in place prior to start of eventAssist school staff during the event to ensure event efficiencyCoordinate vendor paymentsWhen appropriate, utilize social media to raise event awareness/attendance and promote enrollmentEnsure new leads and changes to student pipeline are updated in Salesforce at end of eventCanvassing & Community EventsRecruit, train, and supervise local teams of School Ambassadors in canvassing activities to generate new inquiries for the school(s) such as door-to-door neighborhood walks, large community events, public parks, pop-up events, tabling at storefronts or at community organizations, flyer blitzes, etc.Identify relevant community events and community engagement opportunities and organize participation on behalf of the school(s)Using available tools, identify opportunities and targeted areas for canvassing for use in scheduling teamsWork independently and with teams to generate inquiries for student enrollment at school(s)Ensure lead information is accurately recorded into Salesforce at the end of each dayPerform any necessary supervisory duties for the canvassing team(s) such as coordinating schedules/timesheetsCommunity PartnershipsIdentify local community members, organizations, and businesses where meaningful partnerships with the school(s) can be establishedContact and meet day cares, community agencies, businesses, community centers, preschools, etc. to explain benefits of the school(s) and create partnershipsBuild and maintain an up-to-date database of relevant contacts through Local and Regional community involvementWork to generate student inquiries for school(s)Secure and coordinate donations for school events (items such as backpacks/school supplies or services such as haircuts/health screenings)Set up and coordinate cross promotional opportunities to raise awareness about the school throughout the communityIdentify potential PR opportunities for the Marketing DepartmentLead Nurturing, Registration & AttendanceAssist new students and their families with the enrollment/registration processFollow-up with prospective leads, applicants, and enrollees via phone, email, and in-person meetings with families throughout the enrollment processBook appointments for prospective families to tour the school(s)Provide information regarding registration requirements and program benefits to prospective students and parentsAssist school personnel with enrollment processing (collecting applications and required documents), following ACCEL Schools enrollment procedures, and abiding by and ensuring all state-mandated auditing procedures are followedProvide marketing support during enrollment events and registrationCanvass to homes to follow-up on remaining documents and/or truancy as neededMiscellaneousAttend meetings and events as requestedMake sound decisions within the parameters of authorityRepresent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all timesWork professionally and cooperatively to fulfill duties and responsibilitiesMaintain awareness and adhere to organization’s policies and proceduresMay be asked to assist Marketing Department with special projects and eventsAssume other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years experience in Sales, Recruitment, Community Organizing, Customer Service, Marketing, or related fieldsExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficient in computer applicationsAbility to effectively manage and motivate temporary staff membersAbility to travel and possess own reliable transportationAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as neededPhysical ability to lift 25 to 40 pounds, and stand/walk up to four hours at a timeEffective
