PE-Team Leader, Generation II-002740

Under general guidance, is responsible and accountable for the continuous safe and efficient operations and/or maintenance of plant equipment.

Provides leadership, coaching, counseling, advising and teaching to others through day to day contact.

Directs, monitors and evaluates performance of direct reports within the reporting organization.

Prepares, controls and administers budgets to achieve maximum business results relating to overall performance, cost efficiency and reliability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, monitors, and supervises the activities of the direct reports ensuring individual member goals are achieved in support of assigned Team goals.
  • Ensure crew is following all safety protocol including: JSAs, LOTO, wearing of safety equipment, working in a safe manner.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, counseling, advising and teaching to others through day to day contact.
  • Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work of subordinate employees
  • Work with Operations and Planning to make sure the correct work is getting completed at the proper time.

    Work within the Work Management system to locate parts, close work orders, record time, record failure and cause codes.

  • Direct contractors when required to maintain and repair mechanical systems, equipment, and components. 
  • Analyze and solve problems and assist Operations personnel with installation, maintenance and repairs of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings, manuals, and schematics and provide direction to your team for repairs to specific equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school education required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field desired from an accredited college/university
  • Proficient personal computer skills including SAP, Excel, Word, Workday
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedure
  • Results oriented, self-motivated and able to work with limited direct supervision
  • Union experience required
  • Supervisory experience recommended
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills required
