Internship- Program Management

(GD-OTS)has a Program Managment internship opportunity this summer at our Huntsville, AL Operations.

Major Position Responsibilities: The Program Intern’s primary role will be to support program teams within the Rockets business area in the planning and execution of contract and proposal activity.

Assignments may include participation in cost estimates, tracking of daily program activity, participation in customer status calls, deveopment of integrated master schedules, development of contract data requirement list (CDRL) plans, risk management planning, participation in weekly program team meetings and utilization of business financial systems.

In addition to general program management tasks; other tasks may include exposure to other functional areas for experience and growth in supply chain management, contract management and/or finance.

Basic Qualifications: The candidate shall be a Junior or Senior in a technical or business management curriculum and self motivated with an apptitude for program management.

Skills require a basic understanding of financial and schedule management, an ability to access and extract data from business systems and the application of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Project.

Sound decision making with an ability to work closely with the program team and within the organization under potentially stressful situations and timelines.

The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented and organized, with an ability to demonstrate developing written and verbal presentation skills, an ability to assess multiple sources of information and quickly focus on the key elements, and an ability to identify performance gaps in team execution.
