Escrow & Insurance Lead Specialist

This is a Full-time position in Hurricane, WV posted April 8, 2022.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Upholds SmartBank Core Values and Core Purpose.

Maintain all insurance and tax escrow records for accuracy in LN & ML applications.

Post OTE (online transactions) for escrow related payments, disbursements or adjustments.

Review all insurance or tax related mail correspondence to update escrow records.

Reviews projected escrow disbursement reports daily.

Schedule and transact escrow disbursements in a timely manner of payment due.

Save, print and mail checks for disbursements.

Update escrow records upon changes in insurance or tax premiums.

Prepare annual analysis projections and updates as scheduled.

Save, and mail analysis statements along with surplus checks when applicable.

Provide support to clients and internal associates with questions regarding escrow accounts or payments.

Primary Contact for Insurance tracking.

Review incoming mail for insurance notifications.

Place requests to update banks mortgagee clause when needed.

Updates loan officers exceptions and tracking.

Provides support between third-party insurance tracking company and internal associates.

Provides support to clients with questions regarding insurance or notifications received.

Research and answer customer questions or requests.

Maintain insurance files and submit to the Insurance Tracking Service daily.

Review reports from tracking company weekly.

Required to stay up to date on all systems by attending webinars or classes as needed.

Complies with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Place tickets with core provider and/or coordinate calls pertaining to escrow issues.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements and Qualifications: Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.

3 years of banking and customer service experience.

1 year of loan operations experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to apply knowledge and sound judgment in decision-making using established guidelines.

Excellent customer service skills.

Must be capable of handling confidential information in a trustworthy manner.

Proficient level of computer competency including Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook), and typing.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions.

Detail oriented and ability to function in a team environment.

Self-starter.

Must be able to able to prioritize and organize daily workflow.

Demonstrates the ability to maintain a positive attitude.

High level of integrity.

Able to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Willing to accept new ideas and methods and be agreeable to change.

Work Conditions: Able to sit for long periods of time.

Frequent and regularly required movements using wrists, hand and/or fingers.

Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

Must be available to work the required schedule of the department.

May be required to travel to training sessions or meetings.
