Customer Master Data Analyst

MRC Global

This is a Full-time position in Charleston, WV posted September 19, 2022.


MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. We have an immediate opening for a Master Data Analyst.

Job Purpose: Responsible for researching, analyzing, and updating customer master data related initiatives as well as offering solutions on initiatives in multiple customer related areas. Working with other departments to coordinate, add, and/or modify customer master data across IT systems.


Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work collaboratively with others to apply solutions related to customer master data process;
Participate in or lead, as necessary, projects that are master data related such as period review of specific contracts, customer setups, and/or processes to
insure adherence to contract guidelines;
Assist in the development of master data related metric reporting;
Provide detailed reporting on related initiatives and metrics;
Utilize experience in data management to provide recommendations towards the improvement of master data related management process;
Perform other duties and projects as assigned;
Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.

Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work;
• Strong PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word and ability to learn MRC Global specific software;
• Valid Driver’s license with the ability to meet the MRC Global vehicle policy and the ability to travel as needed;
• Strong communication skills to be able to work efficiently and effective with others.

Additional Qualifications

• Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
• Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries;
• Ability to understand and comply with MRC Global guidelines and expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
